J & the King part II

A glimpse into the visual development and pre-production design of the opening title sequence for Juliet and the King, where Persian carpet motifs, historical architecture, and stylized world-building come together to shape the king's journey across continents.

When the king reaches France, the visual language shifts. The traditionally flat and symbolic Iranian perspective tries to follow European painting rules, creating intentional irregularities that became part of the composition and animation style. At the same time, the carpet-inspired colors begin to resemble the look of printed illustrations.
